A sinoraptor is a fierce animal probably native to Bajor.
During the Occupation of Bajor, members of the Shakaar Resistance Cell were reluctant to allow young Kira Nerys to join. However, according to Lupaza, the girl had the heart of a sinoraptor and they had no choice. (DS9: "Shakaar")
