Admiral Simons

Simons was a Starfleet admiral in the 2360s.

In 2369, Simons was contacted by Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Ambassador Ves Alkar aboard the USS Enterprise-D. Having just been rescued by the Enterprise-D following an attack on the transport ship Dorian that was taking him to the planet Rekag-Seronia to mediate a dispute, Alkar requested that Simons allow him to continue on his mission aboard another transport, believing that his arrival aboard the heavily-armed Enterprise-D would compromise his negotiations. Picard, however, believed doing so would prompt another attack on the ambassador.

Simons agreed with Picard, and believed that putting the ambassador on another unarmed transport would not only put Alkar's lives at risk, but those of the transport crew, as well. He therefore suggested Alkar remain aboard the Enterprise-D, stating the ambassador would be "in good hands with Captain Picard," and Alkar conceded. (TNG: "Man of the People")

Admiral Simons was played by George D. Wallace.
