Nurse Shirley H. Brand was a Starfleet crewmember during the Dominion War.
In 2374, the starship Exeter reported Brand as killed in action. Her name was listed in a casualty list that was displayed in the wardroom of Deep Space 9. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight", okudagram)
