Shannon Watson (born 3 September 1974; age 39) is the actor who portrayed the Vulcan Valiant cadet in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Valiant". As a background actor, he received no credit for his performance and was identified by the name tag of his costume which was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]

Watson was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin in 2004. In 2008 he received his doctor title of chiropractic. Watson studied acting in Milwaukee and in Hollywood, under Robert Carnegie at the Playhouse West in the latter one. Beside his medical career and his television and film work, he is a successful model for magazines such as GQ, Men's Health, and People, and has worked as a runway model for designers such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Moschino, and Jane Barnes.

Beside his Star Trek: DS9 appearances, Watson also played featured roles in the television series Will & Grace, Dawn of Our Nation, The Parkers, and Bloomington, IN, and had a starring role in the documentary Medical Diaries for the Discovery Channel.

Among his feature film performances are the romantic comedy Kissing a Fool (1998), Cameron Crowe's thriller Vanilla Sky (2001, with Armand Schultz, Ray Proscia, Mark Bramhall, and Andrei Sterling), Steven Spielberg's science fiction thriller Minorty Report (2002, with Neal McDonough, Patrick Kilpatrick, Caroline Lagerfelt, Katy Boyer, David Doty, Shannon O'Hurley, and Baron Jay), Barry Sonnenfeld's science fiction sequel Men in Black II (2002, with Jack Kehler, Michael William Rivkin, Michael Bailey Smith, Mary Stein, Paige Brooks, Derek Mears, Kevin Grevioux, Gene LeBell, and Bart Mixon), the science fiction thriller The Sleeper (2005, with Mark Metcalf), and the horror film Guardians (2006).
