Septimus III is the third planet of the Septimus system and was the headquarters of the Cardassian Eleventh Order.
In 2375, the planet was besieged by fifteen Klingon divisions. Weyoun considered the planet to be "strategically worthless" and declined to send reinforcements, resulting in the massacre of all 500,000 defending Cardassians. The Dominion's refusal to save the Cardassians spurred Damar to rebel against them. (DS9: "Strange Bedfellows")
