The location of Altair VI, a planet in Sector 9, on "The Explored Galaxy" star chart

Sector 9 was a region of space in the Alpha Quadrant. The Altair system was located in this sector.

In 2267, Admiral James Komack was the Starfleet Command flag officer in charge of Sector 9. (TOS: "Amok Time")

This sector was only mentioned in dialogue.

This sector's quadrant of origin is inferred based on the position of the Altair system as seen in the star chart appearing in the Star Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends".
