Sector 492 is a region of space in the Delta Quadrant that contained a former Talaxian colony. In 2376, the USS Voyager encountered a Kartelan freighter carrying supplies from this sector, and obtained a quantity of amber spice. (VOY: "The Voyager Conspiracy")
