Sector 22853, along with sector 22055, were sectors of space where the USS Charleston was on missions of deep space exploration in the 2360s, according to a Starfleet report entitled Starship mission status. (Star Trek: The Next Generation set decoration)
The assignment of the Charleston was not mentioned on screen, but rather was seen on a viewscreen chart on an observation lounge computer station.
