Sector 21602, along with sector 22846, are sectors of space where the USS Aries was on missions of deep space exploration in the 2360s, according to a Starfleet report entitled Starship mission status. (Star Trek: The Next Generation set decoration)

The assignment of the Aries was not mentioned on screen, but rather was seen on a viewscreen chart on a bridge computer station.
