Sector 002 on the Starship Deploy Status Chart
Sector 002 was a region of space. In 2365, the Federation starships USS Saratoga and USS Apollo were assigned to deep space exploration in this sector. (TNG: "The Measure Of A Man"}
The sector was never mentioned in dialog; it was mentioned on a Starship Deploy Status seen in Starbase 173.
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 19, this sector was also known as the Alpha Centauri sector.
