The scudo (pl. scudi) was a currency used in Italy in the 16th century.

In the holoprogram set in 16th century Florence, Leonardo da Vinci demanded ten scudi from Catarina for using a part of his workplace, but she haggled him down to seven scudi. (VOY: "Scorpion")
