Scott Herbertson was a set designer for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's second season and later for Star Trek Nemesis. He also designed the sets for the Star Trek World Tour attraction in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Herbertson first worked as an assistant art director on the 1988 horror movie Fright Night Part 2 (which starred Brian Thompson) before becoming a set designer with the 1989 science fiction film DeepStar Six (starring Miguel Ferrer and Matt McCoy). After his stint on Deep Space Nine, Herbertson was set designer for such films as Idle Hands, Men of Honor, Mulholland Dr., The Majestic, Jeepers Creepers II, Team America: World Police, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds and Munich. In addition, he was an assistant are director for the 2004 3D motion capture animated film, The Polar Express. He most recently served as set designer on another film utilizing the 3D motion capture technique, Beowulf (based on the epic poem), in which Dominic Keating had a supporting role.
