Scott Cochran is a music recordist, music engineer and scoring mixer who worked as scoring mixer for the advertising music of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Throughout the last thirty years, Cochran also worked in the music department of television series such as The Guiding Light, Entertainment Tonight, Jake and the Fatman, Melrose Place (1993), High Tide, The Outer Limits, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (1996-1997), First Wave, Hyperion Bay, Charmed, Promised Land (1996-1999), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990, 1995-2000), Strong Medicine, The Division, Time Squad (2001), American Dreams, Touched by an Angel (1996-2003), The Office, The 4400 (2004-2007), The Emperor's New School (2006-2008), Planet Sheen (2010-2011), and Monsuno (2011-2012).

In 2000 he received a Golden Reel Award in the category Best Sound Editing - Special Venue for his work on the short documentary Island of the Shark (1999), shared with Michael McDonough.

Film work includes the family comedy Beethoven (1992), the drama Boxing Helena (1993), the The Land Before Time film series (1994-2007), the horror film Deadly Invasion: The Killer Bee Nightmare (1995), the action film Last Man Standing (1995), the animated film A Christmas Carol (1997), the drama Girl (1998), the crime comedy Happy, Texas (1999), the family movie An American Tail: The Mystery of the Night Monster (1999), the crime comedy Drowning Mona (2000), the animated film Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse (2001), the video release Charlotte's Web 2: Wilbur's Great Adventure (2003), the family movie Stitch! The Movie (2003), the sequel Shrek 2 (2004), the thriller White Noise (2005), the comedy sequel American Pie Presents Band Camp (2005), the comedy Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj (2006), the science fiction film Star Runners (2009, starring Connor Trinneer), the horror film Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead (2009) and its sequel Wrong Turn 4 (2011), the television horror film Boogeyman (2012), and the romance Slightly Single in L.A. (2012).
