Scott Bobbitt was the leadman on 2009's Star Trek; he was responsible for the film's swing gang and set dressers. He is the brother of Star Trek's property master, Russell Bobbitt. The brothers previously worked together on the 2005 comedy film Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Dangerous, starring Diedrich Bader, Enrique Murciano, and William Shatner.

Scott Bobbitt's previous credits include three science fiction films: Total Recall (whose cast featured Star Trek alumni Marc Alaimo, Roy Brocksmith, Michael Champion, Robert Costanzo, Ronny Cox, Mel Johnson, Jr., Lycia Naff, Milt Tarver, and the voice of Robert Picardo), Demolition Man (featuring Bill Cobbs and Bob Gunton), and Starship Troopers (starring Clancy Brown, Bruce Gray, Lenore Kasdorf, Blake Lindsley, Julianna McCarthy, Timothy McNeil, Dina Meyer, and Brenda Strong). He was also a lead man on the science fiction comedy Multiplicity, which featured Ann Cusack, John de Lancie, and Harris Yulin.

In addition, Bobbitt has worked on two films starring Whoopi Goldberg: 1999's The Deep End of the Ocean (co-starring Michael McGrady and Brenda Strong) and Rat Race (co-starring Lanei Chapman). Bobbitt has also collaborated with filmmaker Steven Soderberg on several films: Erin Brockovich, The Good German, and the three Ocean's movies (Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen). Bobbitt's other film credits include 1998's Doctor Dolittle (starring Eddie Murphy), Mumford (starring Alfre Woodard), The Cider House Rules, Something's Gotta Give, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
