Sausalito

A sign on the side of a bus advertises the Cetacean Institute in Sausalito.

Sausalito was a small town in the greater San Francisco Bay area in the state of California. Its location north of San Francisco was depicted on a San Francisco Municipal Railway map in 1986. In the late 20th century, it was home to the Cetacean Institute and had approximately eight thousand residents. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

In 2139, Charles Tucker III lived in Sausalito near the Vulcan Compound - a Vulcan residential and diplomatic facility located in the town. (ENT: "Broken Bow")

In 2152, Tucker mused about the possibility of an Earth colony named "New Sausalito" existing in the near future. (ENT: "Shockwave")

After escaping prison in San Francisco sometime prior to May 2154, Arik Soong made it to Sausalito before the authorities recaptured him - a feat he was "particularly proud of". (ENT: "Borderland")
