Saurian is a term used to describe some sentient reptilian species, particularly those with an evolutionary history similar to Earth dinosaurs.

The Voth referred to themselves as a saurian race. Many treated "non-saurians," particularly mammalians, as lower lifeforms. (VOY: "Distant Origin")

The Federation contains several species of possible saurian descent, including the Kasheeta and the eponymous Saurians. (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)
