The Sampalo relic was an archaeological artifact from Hoek IV in the Lantar Nebula. In 2369, Q tried to tempt Vash into rejoining him as a partner by offering to show her the Sampalo relic. (DS9: "Q-Less")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 74, the Sampalo relic was brought to Hoek IV from the Sampalo system. This was a binary star system. Primary was a Class M star. Magnitude of this star was +1, which was 100 times brighter than Sol. Stellar companion was a Class G star.
