Sam Alejan is an Arab-American actor who appeared as a Starfleet officer for seven years on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. In addition, he served as stand-in and photo double on Deep Space Nine and appeared in several other background parts. As a background performer he received no credit for all of his appearances.

Alejan also appeared in episodes of the television series Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, Seventh Heaven (starring Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks), Americas Most Wanted, Quantum Leap (starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell), Home Front, The Agency, Mad TV, and The West Wing.

Among his feature film work are the comedy The Beverly Hillbillies (1993, with Diedrich Bader), the independent film What Can I Do? (1994, with Aric Rogokos), the comedy film The Mask (1994), James Cameron's action film True Lies (1994), the thriller Strange Days (1995), the thriller Nick of Time (1995, with Bill Smitrovich), the action film Volcano (1997, with Jacqueline Kim and Brian Markinson), Michael Bay's Academy Award nominated Armageddon (1998), the science fiction remake Wild Wild West (1999, with Musetta Vander, James Lashly, and Ian Abercrombie), the television comedy Geppetto (2000, with Brent Spiner and Rene Auberjonois), the thriller The Sum of all Fears (2002, with James Cromwell, Ken Jenkins, and Bruce McGill), Sam Raimi's Spider-Man (2002, with Kirsten Dunst), and the adventure film Hidalgo (2004, with Jeff Kober and Malcolm McDowell).

Alejan served as stunt double in the comedy Rat Race (2001, with Whoopi Goldberg and Lanei Chapman) and performed in the video game Soviet Strike (1996, with John Marzilli).
