Salva II was the second planet in the Salva system. The system was close to the Demilitarized Zone.

Prior to 2370. a Federation colony was established on this planet. In 2370, the planet was turned over the Cardassians in the Federation-Cardassian Treaty and the colonists were forced to evacuate. Most of the colonists refused Federation resettlement and moved to a Maquis encampment on Marva IV, where Captain Benjamin Sisko visited in 2373 in search of Maquis informant Cing'ta. (DS9: "For the Uniform")

According to the script, the pronunciation for Salva was "SAL-vuh". [1]

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 47, Salva II orbited a F-type star. This planet was located within the Demilitarized Zone.
