Sahsheer was a Kelvan word for a rapidly forming crystalline structure, native to the Andromedan planet Kelva.

Kelinda, in an early exploration of her new humanoid senses, was fascinated by the blossom of a plant on the planet where she'd been stranded, and remarked to Captain Kirk that the flower resembled the sahsheer she had learned of from memory tapes. (TOS: "By Any Other Name")
