S.P. Somtow (born 30 December 1952; age 59) is the pen name and "dark twin" of Somtow Papinian Sucharitkul from Bangkok, Thailand. When not writing fantasy novels, he is the artistic director of the Bangkok Opera and Siam Philharmonic Orchestra.
