Ruth Amelia Berman (born 15 November 1942; age 70) is a science fiction and fantasy author, who wrote the short story "Visit to a Weird Planet, Revisited" and co-wrote the story "The Face on the Barroom Floor" for the 1978 anthology, The New Voyages. She started out as a Star Trek fan writer, publishing in numerous fanzines during the 1970s. She received the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Science Fiction Writer in 1973.
