Dennis Russell Bailey is a writer, also credited as Dennis Putman Bailey. He was the co-writer of the Star Trek: The Next Generation third season episode "Tin Man" (with David Bischoff), and was one of five co-writers of the teleplay for the fourth season episode "First Contact" (alongside Bischoff, Joe Menosky, Ronald D. Moore, and Michael Piller). He is co-writer of the story and writer of the teleplay for the fan film Starship Exeter episode "The Tressaurian Intersection". Since then, his career has largely been as a writer for the fan film Starship Farragut. In recent years, Bailey has caused some negative controversy in fan circles by belittling posters with his posts on the TrekBBS. (citation needededit)
