Rondac III was the third planet in the Rondac planetary system. This Cardassian planet was located in the Alpha Quadrant. During the Dominion War, it was the location of a Dominion cloning facility. In 2375, it was attacked by Cardassian forces loyal to Legate Damar at the start of the Cardassian Rebellion. Although Damar lost nearly half his troops in the attack and the planet was not captured, the Cardassians were successful in destroying the Dominion facility. Weyoun speculated that Damar had picked the facility as a target to prevent any of his future clones from being activated. (DS9: "The Changing Face of Evil", "When It Rains...")

According to a Federation tactical map, Rondac III is relatively close to the Federation border. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets")
