Romulan patrol ships were a type of patrol ship utilized by the Romulan Empire during the mid-24th century.

In 2346, several Romulan patrol ships attacked and destroyed Khitomer. After receiving a defense access code from the outpost, the ships were able to lower the outpost's shields. In 2366, one of these ships was captured by the Klingons. The ship was found to contain logs that identified the sender of the defense access code, Ja'rod, father of Duras. (TNG: "Sins of the Father")
