(written from a Production point of view)
He was a self-taught artist and began doing comic work shortly after finishing high school. After working with a number of local publications, he moved to the United States in 1976 and presented his portfolio to DC. They hired him to work on a number of short stories before he was assigned to work on Super Friends. Eventually he began working on The New Teen Titans with George Pérez, a position he held for almost eight years. During his time at DC, he worked on three issues of their Star Trek title, inking all three. The issues were TOS #49 "The Peacekeeper Part One", TNG #50 "And Death Shall Have No Dominion" (with Pablo Marcos), and "TNG Special 1" on the story "A True Son of Kahless".
