Robert the Bruce was King of Scotland, who lived in the late thirteenth to early fourteenth centuries.
Montgomery Scott sarcastically mentioned him along with Louis XIV before Abraham Lincoln was beamed aboard the Enterprise. (TOS: "The Savage Curtain")
