Robert S. Dilly worked as Rigger in the camera and electrical department of the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Fortunate Son". He is listed on the call sheet for the episode.

In 1994 he worked as additional electrician on the drama The Color of Evening and in 1997 as rigging electrician on the fantasy sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park. In 2000 he was the assistant chief lighting technician on the romance The Next Best Thing, with Christopher J. Lama and Ralph Del Castillo. Dilly also worked as gaffer on the short comedy Enter the Grill Master (2003).
