Richard "Max" Walker (1 January 196322 September 2013; age 50) was an actor and Screen Actors Guild member who worked as background actor on Star Trek: The Next Generation during his twenties.

Born on New Year's eve 1963 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, Walker grew up in Kensington, Maryland and graduated from Walter Johnson High School in 1982. He later attended Montgomery College.

Beside his work on The Next Generation, Walker also appeared in the 1987 science fiction film The Running Man which features Trek alumni Mick Fleetwood, Dey Young, Tony Brubaker, Joel Kramer, George Wilbur, and Wayne Grace. As a certified balloon artist, he later launched his company "Balloons by Max". [1] [2]

Walker passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, 22 September 2013 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland, from end stage liver disease. He was survived by his partner of seven and husband of one year Scott Nuce. [3]
