Richard Gadas is a writer and actor who wrote the story for what became the Star Trek: Voyager episode "The Thaw" in 1996.

"The Thaw" was Gadas' only writing contribution to television and films. Previously he had made an appearance on the telelvision series Knott's Landing in 1991, in an episode that guest starred Bruce Greenwood and Michelle Phillips.
