Richard Foy is one of the founders of Communication Arts, Inc., and was (through his company) in charge of the titles on Star Trek: The Motion Picture. He was also identified as the "inventor" of the font used in the film's title sequence and credits on the design patent issued for the "ornamental design for a calligraphic font".
