Richard Balder is a special effects artist who worked as special effects labor artist on several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. He received no screen credit for this work but is listed on several call sheets. Richard Balder (Starfleet), a name on a directory placard in the episode "Violations", was named after him.
