Renée Jones (born 15 October 1958; age 53) played Aquiel Uhnari in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Aquiel".

1970s and 1980s Single Television Guest WorkEdit

Jones began her career playing Angela on The White Shadow starring Joan Pringle in 1979's "Globetrotters" and 1981's "Psyched Out". In between, was the series premiere of the short-lived 1980 show Tenspeed & Brown Shoe starring Ben Vereen and working with Peter Brocco and Nicholas Worth. Following her The White Shadow work, Jones was seen in 1981 on The Brady Brides in "The Newlywed Game" with Harvey Vernon. In 1982, Jones worked a role on Chicago Story starring Daniel Hugh Kelly in "Half a Chance". Jones was seen in an ABC Afterschool Special, "The Hero Who Couldn't Read"(1984) with Michael Dorn and Clarence Williams III. Jones followed on the M*A*S*H* spin-ff Trapper John, MD starring Madge Sinclair in "A False Start"(1985). That year, Jones also appeared on T.J. Hooker starring James Darren and William Shatner in "Return of a Cop" directed by Cliff Bole and also featuring Robert Miano. In 1987, Jones acted on the hotel comedy Marblehead Manor starring fellow Season 6 guest star Linda Thorson in "I Led Three Wives". Jones went from that to the angel-themed drama Highway to Heaven in "Country Doctor"(1988) with Fritz Sperberg. That year Jones also appeared in Night Court starring John Larroquette in "The Last Temptation of Mac" with Leslie Jordan.

1990s Single Television Guest WorkEdit

1992 saw Jones on Bodies of Evidence in "Afternoon Delights" directed by James L. Conway and also guest-starring Michele Scarabelli. Jones went to comedy on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air starring James Avery in "Father Knows Best"(1994). Jones then appeared on the long running crime drama Murder:She Wrote in "Deadly Bidding"(1995) alongside Kathleen Garrett, Craig Richard Nelson and Melanie Smith.

FilmworkEdit

Jones' film debut was the 1982 telefilm Forbidden Love with Jill Jacobson. Her next telefilm was 1983's Deadly Lessons with Robin Gammell and Ellen Geer. Jones' third telefilm in a row was 1984's Jessie with Jonathan Banks and William Lucking. In 1987, Jones again was on a TV movie, The Liberators with Bumper Robinson. After paying her dues on telefilms, Jones hit the big screen in comedy Talkin' Dirty After Dark(1991) with Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr.. Jones followed that same year acting in the thriller The Terror Within II with Brad Blaisdell and Barbara Alyn Woods. Jones was then cast in the 1992 sports themed mini-series Tracks of Glory co-written by Jim Fitzpatrick and also starring Phil Morris.
