Reclaw was the last Klingon emperor of the Second Dynasty, who was assassinated in a coup d'etat by General K'Trelan. His entire family, including his daughter Shenara, was executed. When the Third Dynasty came into power, another Klingon was given the title and name of Emperor Reclaw to create the illusion of an unbroken line. (DS9: "You Are Cordially Invited")
