Rebecca Smith was a tactical officer who transferred to the USS Enterprise-D sometime in 2370. She went on a date with Commander Will Riker shortly after being assigned to the ship. They ended up in the arboretum and became intimate, but the visit was ruined when Will rolled onto a Cyprion cactus and had to go to sickbay for treatment. (TNG: "Genesis")
