The Rak-Miunis was a Kobheerian freighter, registered for travel in Federation space, commanded by Captain Viterian in 2369. That same year, the Rak-Miunis carried the passenger Aamin Marritza to Deep Space 9 from Kora II so that he could set forth his plan to force Cardassia to acknowledge its guilt over the Bajoran Occupation. (DS9: "Duet")
In 2371, Commander Benjamin Sisko took the USS Defiant into Cardassian space with modified shield harmonics to disguise it as a Kobheerian freighter. When approached and hailed by a Galor-class warship commanded by Gul Benil, Sisko used a holofilter to disguise himself as Captain Viterian and identified his ship as the Rak-Miunis. (DS9: "Second Skin")
According to the script for the episode [1], the pronunciation for Rak-Miunis was "rak-me-U-nis".
