Raj Rihal is a concept artist who will be working as senior concept illustrator on the upcoming Untitled Star Trek sequel. [1]

Rihal previously worked as concept artist on the fantasy drama Bunraku (2010), the comic adaptations Thor (2011, starring Chris Hemsworth and art direction by Luke Freeborn) and The Avengers (2012, with Chris Hemsworth and Paul Lacovara), the science fiction sequel Men in Black III (2012, with Keone Young and Marti Matulis and art direction by Luke Freeborn), the horror thriller Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012, art direction by Beat Frutiger), and the science fiction sequel G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation (2012, with Dwayne Johnson).

He is also working as concept artist on the science fiction film Horizons (2013, with concept artist Edwin Natividad).

In 2010, Rihal was nominated for an Excellence in Production Design Award from the Art Directors Guild in the category Commercials and Music Videos. He shared this nomination with Star Trek concept illustrator Fabian Lacey.
