AM (Amplitude Modulation) was a type of broadcast used extensively during the 20th century on Earth. While amplitude modulation style transmissions were available for many frequecies when spoken of in 20th century colloqial English, AM Radio refered to the frequecies between 520 and 1700 KHz.
