Template:Realworld R.A. Jones is a comic book writer and editor. His career began in the mid-1980s as an editor for Elite Comics. He began writing various long-running series including Scimidar, Dark Wolf, Merlin, and Ferret. During his time, he also wrote for DC, Dark Horse, Tokyopop, and Marvel Comics. He is perhaps best known for writing the series Bulletproof Monk, later made into a movie by John Woo.

In the Star Trek realm of fiction, he wrote the backup story, "A Tree on Bajor", in the second issue in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - The Maquis: Soldier of Peace miniseries from Malibu Comics.
