"Questor" was a science fiction story written by E.W. Roddenberry. It was referenced on the cover of the January 1953 issue of Incredible Tales magazine in a blurb about another story by the same author, "The Cage". (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")

"Questor" is an homage to Gene Roddenberry's The Questor Tapes, a project that was never produced beyond the pilot. It starred Robert Foxworth as Questor (who was possibly an inspiration for Data), Majel Barrett and Walter Koenig.
