Template:Realworld Quantum Creation FX is a makeup effects company which built specialty costume elements and props for 2009's Star Trek. They specialize in the creation of realistic makeup effects, prosthetics, and animatronics.

Quantum was founded in 2005 by Christian Beckman and Justin Raleigh, former employees of the now-defunct makeup effects company Edge FX, Inc. The company is dedicated to providing high-quality work at an economical price. They have an open door policy which permits its employees to offer new ideas and suggestions on improving costs and methods.

Since its inception, Quantum has provided makeup effects for such films as Southland Tales (starring The Rock, John Larroquette, Holmes Osborne, and Wallace Shawn), Click (featuring makeup effects by Jamie Kelman and Clinton Wayne), X-Men: The Last Stand (starring Kelsey Grammer, Famke Janssen and Patrick Stewart), I Am Legend (featuring Salli Elise Richardson and Paradox Pollack), and M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening (featuring Alan Ruck). They also worked on Threshold, the short-lived CBS series produced by André Bormanis, Brannon Braga, David Livingston and Mike Sussman and starring Brent Spiner.

In addition to their work on Star Trek, Quantum also built specialty costumes and prosthetic suits for the film adaptation of the DC Comics graphic novel Watchmen, featuring Matt Frewer. More recently, the company created prop weapons, specialty costumes and fake bodies for the Paramount film G.I. Joe, starring Rachel Nichols.
