Provider 1
Provider 1 was one of three Providers, aliens resembling disembodied brains that lived below the surface of the planet Triskelion. For pleasure these aliens captured humanoids and made them combat each other, while they wagered on the outcome. In 2268 the Providers captured three Enterprise crew members: James T. Kirk, Uhura, and Pavel Chekov for their stable of gladiators.
