It has been suggested that this article should be renamed to Prometheus (mythology).
You can discuss this suggestion on the talk page.

Prometheus was a character from Greek mythology. When Zeus hid fire from Humans, they were given fire by Prometheus who stole it from Mount Olympus. For his defiance, he was punished by Zeus with being chained to a rock and having an eagle eat his liver in the day. At night, his liver would regenerate so that it could be eaten the next day. He was rescued by Hercules.

According to the script for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Khan Noonien Singh lamented himself to be like Prometheus, left to digest his own entrails by James T. Kirk on Ceti Alpha V.
