Precipice is the forthcoming fifth novel in the Star Trek: Vanguard series. Scheduled for release in November 2009, and written by David Mack, the novel will follow on from Open Secrets. The novel was announced at the Shore Leave convention on 11 July 2008, and its title revealed by Margaret Clark on 31 December 2008.
