The Prakesh was a Cardassian Template:ShipClass cruiser in service during the late 24th century.
In 2372, the Prakesh was commanded by Gul Dukat during the evacuation of the members of the Detapa Council from Cardassia Prime during the early days of the Klingon-Cardassian War. The Prakesh was to scheduled to rendezvous with the USS Defiant, which was to escort the Cardassian cruiser back to Deep Space 9.

En route, the Prakesh was intercepted by three Klingon Birds-of-Prey and subsequently destroyed, but not before its passengers and crew were rescued by the Defiant. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")
