The Praetorian Guard was the police force of the planet 892-IV. They usually rounded up rebellious slaves and forced them to fight in the City Arena. Some of them served as bodyguards for R.M. Merik during Merik's tenure as First Citizen. Some of them were fans of Empire TV as one of the guards recognized Flavius Maximus when he was captured. (TOS: "Bread and Circuses")
