Post-neural shock syndrome was a medical condition in which the patient experienced the sensation of more pronounced external stimuli. Colors seemed more pronounced, shapes more defined. The condition was associated with unusual synaptic potentials.

In 2373, Benjamin Sisko suffered temporary post-neural shock syndrome following an accident in which he was exposed to a plasma burst. (DS9: "Rapture")
