Portland was a city on Earth where Benjamin Sisko's sister, Judith, resided. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part I")
In 2372, Joseph Sisko told Judith to return home to Portland, as he felt he did not need her to help in the family restaurant. (DS9: "Homefront")
Although the writers presumably intended this to be Portland, Oregon, the script never gave the location of Portland. The city in Oregon was identified on a political map of the North Pacific region when the Talosians accessed the USS Enterprise library computer in 2254. (TOS: "The Cage")
