A platoon is a group of soldiers typically 30-50 strong. It is the smallest military unit and is led by an officer.
Starfleet survivors of a stolen Jem'Hadar fighter which crashed on an uninhabited class M planet encountered Dominion soldiers already present that were soldiers in a platoon led by their Vorta master, Keevan. (DS9: "Rocks and Shoals")
Also in 2374, Yelgrun brought an entire platoon of Jem'Hadar to Empok Nor during a prisoner exchange between the Dominion and the Ferengi.
