A photic sonar display
Photic sonar was a sensor technology used aboard the post-2270s refit USS Enterprise.
When the Enterprise entered the V'Ger spacecraft, Nyota Uhura reported that photic sonar readings indicated that the aperture through which they had entered had closed, and they had become trapped inside the vessel. (Star Trek: The Motion Picture)
